I was kind of surprised to find myself in that camp, always having more easily identified with Giles and thus, writing him more often. Ethan completely snuck up on me (and doesn't that just figure? she asks, with an eye roll).

This is awesome! From Ethan's dream, to the "there's trouble right here in River City" shuck and jive to get Rupert to sit down with him, right to the very end -- which rightly makes a person flinch just a little bit.

The question remains, though -- what happens to Ripper if he disappoints? (hint, hint...ie, write more...)
