I think Tara, being dead (in Heaven?), can detach from the emotions of the situation. Plus she was always able to step back and see the big picture.

I see Aluwyn as more of a trickster than a seductress, although I do see your point. To my mind she's more like Loki than a succubus. I see her as more of a trickster who also really likes sex. And it's been a while since I've read the comics but I remember Willow being the instigator in that relationship.
