um, no, by demons I mean monsters and not something that will leap off the page and steal your soul
I'm taking a writing class and we are, as usual in these things, betaing each others stories. When I was summarizing and mentioned demons, one of the women seemed a bit freaked. Having just read her first 30 page chunk, she is VERY christian. I think "demon" to her means Satan and his minions and that she believes reading my story will be a real test of her faith.
I don't want her to be uncomfortable reading my story, but how isolated do you have to be to think that reading a story with demons in it is something that might put your soul in peril? Although, as a plot line, that might not be too bad.
