crappy snow day

So even with this winter snow warning, we had to work today. I barely made it home. Twice. Two hills. First I inched up. Literally. I just kept my foot on the accelerator, sure I wasn't going to make it, but I did. Second hill I did not make. I was reversing back down when another car came up behind me. Eventually they figured out I wasn't going anywhere and backed to the bottom of the hill. Trying to not hit them as I reversed, I almost hit a stop sign. That's when they went away, allowing me to back down to paved street and take another route home.

Ugh. I'm still stressed.

Last time we had bad snow - years ago - my mangers let us leave early so we'd be safe getting home. We're under new management now and apparently they don't give a rat's ass if we're stuck in snow drifts.
