What gets me, at least with Dead Man's Party, is that they are so harsh on Buffy. If we were shown their own issues, shown what was making them so oblivious to how hurtful they were all being, then I might have bought it. And yeah, I get that they are upset that Buffy ran off, but that level of obliviousness, I think, calls for some serious personal issues that they would be going through.
