My solstice celebration seems to have involved watching Shaun of the Dead, which I had never seen before and is very good. The return of the sun was symbolized by that disco bit where the one guy was flipping the fuses. It was a very moving and meaningful scene.

I watched World's End - which ends with the Earth returning to simpler times so people will start celebrating the solstice again because the interenet is dead.

Really must get Shaun so I can do the trilogy.

I hadn't even been aware there was a trilogy. The other two are on my queue at the library although there's a bit of a wait.
