I know. Awesome, right? I only read it recently because I'm a newcomer to Night Vale and haven't listened as far along as the podcast this story references. It didn't seem to make a difference to my enjoyment of the story, but I'll have to give it a reread once I'm caught up on the Night Vale podcasts.
