Thanks. In the case of the plumbing, I can't argue about the toilet. I'd poured down Drano to no effect, but I hadn't realized ahead of time that an actual plumber wouldn't have better luck.

And in terms of the car too, if I'd been thinking I would have realized the alignment would be extra.
