Were the reviews of the tv series or the book? My cousin says the tv series is more gore than scare. I found the book to be very creepy. I didn't want to get out of bed to run to the bathroom last night because I was worried something would attack me in the hallway. Because apparently I think vampires don't know about doors. ;-)
