Bring Back Pluto

Astronomers find evidence of two planets out past Neptune.

Now they'll have to bring Pluto back so we can have Saturn Uranus Neptune Pluto Mickey and Goofy.

I demand more planets named after female deities!

Pluto has always been a planet to me.

So you're on the Pluto, Mickey, and Goofy train then. Excellent.

Lovely icon.

Excellent point. Also a chance to get out of that Euro-centric pantheon.

If you're NASA and you have a giant planet out in the far reaches and you don't name it Kali, I don't know what you're doing with yourself. ;p

Kali. Yes!

Well, there's always Eris (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eris_(dwarf_planet)), which if nothing else has the most apt name in the solar system... (Though they originally tried to name it Xena.)

"Hey guys, I found another planet."
"Wooo!"
"And it's bigger than Pluto. But still tiny. I think we have a problem. The more of these we find..."
"...Either everything's a planet, or Pluto isn't one?"
"Exactly. And people are going to argue about it for decades."
"So what do we name it?"
"Didn't the Greeks have a goddess of discord...?"

As a Robert Anton Wilson (http://rawilson.com/) fan, I'm thrilled there's a planet out there named Eris.

I know, right?

Plus, they mostly try to keep away from naming planets after deities in living religions for obvious reasons, but of course discordians more or less consider blasphemy a virtue, so I'm sure they have no complaints. :)
