Brrrrr!

I had plans to meet with my writer's group today but when I woke up the house temp was at 72 but the thermostat was set for 74. Hoping that the batteries I'd put in about a month back had been old - they were part of a big bag o' batteries - I bought and put in new ones. No such luck. So now I'm waiting for the repair guy to call me back, and Ihad been frustrated over this because, really, it had to happen on a day where I had fun plans and it had to happen on a day where the temp isn't even getting up to freezing. The in-house temp is dropping 2 - 3 degrees per hour.

But, as I was out driving, I realized this could have happened during a blizzard which would have made running to the store for batteries so very difficult. Plus we haven't had a big blizzard dumping lots of now this year. *fingers crossed* So I'm cool for not although how I'll feel when I get the bill ...

I sure hope this is an easy fix. You need heat.

It was. Something that drains water (huh? I didn't know my heater would drain water) was clogged. Since I have a service contract with them, less than $40.

I'm glad it was so straightforward although I'm bummed I had to miss my writer's group. rasm-frasm-timing.
