Gray vs. Secretary

Fifty Shades of Gray. Valentine's Day. Time to borrow Secretary from the library. Hey, if I'm gonna watch a dysfunctional BDSM relationship, why would I pick one whose soundtrack doesn't include Leonard Cohen's “I'm Your Man”?

I think I'll go for Almodovar's classic Matador.

My library doesn't carry that one, although it does have Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down.

That sucks, because Matador is amazing. How can you not love a film about a female lawyer who's also a serial killer?

Looking for it on Netflix led me to this:

Blancanieves
2012 PG-13 104 minutes
Shot in black and white and without dialogue, this unusual take on "Snow White" follows the young daughter of a matador who finds fame after escaping the clutches of her evil stepmother to join a band of bullfighting dwarves.

Not quite the same film... but wow. Niche indeed.

No, not the same film, but the description tickled me.
