book hoarder

So on Tumblr, I saw this: Look to your left. The first thing you see is what you would hoard as a dragon.

First thing I saw was a book. yes!

Of course a window is interesting symbolically. It's a boundary between the inside and the outside and boundaries are always full of meaning. Windows, though, aren't often utilized for moving between so they'd take on the same theme as "the road less traveled."

Also there's this, which I found online: the 15th century architect, sculptor, painter, and theorist Leon Battista Alberti described painting as the construction of an image that resembles a window: "First of all, on the surface on which I am going to paint, I draw a rectangle of whatever size I want, which I regard as an open window through which the subject to be painted is seen;..."
