Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self esteem, first make sure you are not, in fact, just surrounded by assholes. - Notorious d.e.b.
*sigh* I thought I was past blaming my only bosses for the crappiness that was my last two jobs. Sure, they brought a lot of crap to the table, but I was clinically depressed. I had undiagnosed anemia. It wasn't like I was bringing on my A-game. On the other hand, there is this: they used to refuse to give me work and then scream at me because I wasn't working.
