Vincent Price and vamp!Kermit

This just screams out for a fanfic.

I really like Vincent Price. He seems like he was such a cool man.

I came across a copy of one of the books he wrote about art when I was in college, apparently he was quite the collector.

Gosh I forgot how much I loved the Muppet Show!

Yeah, the Muppet Show really was great. I watched the first episode of the new one but didn't like it as much.

I can't imagine it would be the same without Jim Henson (and with Disney at the helm.) the original series had a cheerful go for broke quality that came of being "on the fringe" and probably low budget from the looks of it.

But the muppets haven't been the same for me since Henson died anyway.

I don't believe I ever liked the movies as much as the original Muppets tv series. That go for broke quality you mentioned just didn't transfer over.

The original movie is still one of my favorite things actually - it's not too polished, there's a dusty '70's feeling, and I watched it a couple of years ago for the first time in decades and it made me cry all over again. Probably for different reasons than it made me cry when I was 11 or 12.

The other movies - meh. Totally lost the feel of the original.
