It seemed to me that what does disappear it's what the vamp is wearing at the moment of death. Like, not even the objects in close proximity are affected by the "going poof" process, if I remember correctly.
So how they could dispose of any kind of hazardous waste anyway? They still can't make the near obejcts disappear in presence of the dusting vamp.
Say you want to dispose of a tank of fuel ... should you just submerge the vamp with all the fuel you can? And still I think that only the fuel on the vamp skin could disappear ... or not?
