I believe I changed less than you think I did. One of the herbs was originally a synthesized fake to reflect a thread from both the original and sroni's remix. We lost a threat Anya made against Snape and the exposition about the mail-drop box. And of course the Veritaserum thread because that was key to the original story.

And yes, there were letters in the original series, but they were more focused on Anya and Snape discussing potions. In the series, their relationship started as intellectual respect. My story has a stronger emotional component right off the bat.
