Rise of the Phoenixes

In Rise of the Phoenixes, the exiled crown prince has found unexpected assitance. Unfortunately it’s a plot by Noble Consort Chang to get him killed. Most likely so he won’t come back and stand between her son and the throne but there’s this whole thing where, while she’s one of the Emperor’s consorts, her sister was the Empress. She addresses her dead sister’s memorial and says “You son will be joining you. Won’t that make you happy?” 

I like her. She’s a viper.
