ArtInsights for the win!

Lately I’ve been playing around with SuperBetter, and one of today’s quests was to embrace my inner nomad by going someplace I’ve never been before. I visited ArtInsights, which is an animation and film arts gallery. I expected film posters but instead found art such as paintings and sketches. At first I thought these were artists who’d chosen to base their works off of films but the owner put me right. Everything in there was created by people who have or still do work in the film industry, although it’s not only film because she’s selling a limited set of Dr. Seuss prints. It was very cool.

Small but very cool. It's in the Reston Town Center so you could stop in sometime on the way to Panera. It is a gallery so she'd be delighted to make a sale but it's also low-key. She told me that she'll explain to people, as they seem to be heading toward the door, that the art is all created by people who worked on the original films, books, etc. But that's it. There was no pressure to even show an interest in buying.

You're welcome. I wasn't sure about it, figuring with a gallery there'd be high pressure to buy, but it was quite nice.
