The Real Work By Wendell Berry

It may be that when we no longer know what to do
we have come to our real work,

and that when we no longer know which way to go
we have come to our real journey.

The mind that is not baffled is not employed.

The impeded stream is the one that sings.

I hate my job so much that I literally scream on the inside. Losing my job by the end of the month then should be welcome but freaked about being unemployed. However my boss is working on getting me moved to another project so back to screaming on the inside again because I really, really want a break. And if I try to bring it up, everyone goes all "don't quit your day job" headless-chicken-running dance.

Ouch. That is a really sucky situation indeed. I'm not going to pretend to have any advice for you, because I've never been in any circumstances like that. But if you need someone to talk to or vent at, I will listen.
