Ouch!

It was nice and warm here on Tuesday so I went to the park. There's this creek I like to cross by stepping across the stones, but the water was high and some of them were underwater. I thought, "I can leap that."

Happily the X-ray shows that my foot isn't broken. Unhappily I'm limping along because my foot hurts like all get out, I've wrenched my shoulder, the lump on my forehead somehow is giving me a black eye, and my new eyeglasses are scratched up. That last bit is actually pretty good since it likely means my glasses saved my eye. Oh, and according to my doctor the lump on my forehead means my brain smashed into the front of my skull, bounced off and smashed into the back of my skull, breaking blood vessels. Ick, although since I haven't had a headache apparently it didn't do too much damage.

I'm starting to think I need to learn to act my age...

I'm sorry that I smiled a bit as I read this ... it's just that it reminds me so much of something that would happen to me. And probably will -- the year is young.
