He would not want to jump into sad gold. Then the laws of physics might make his daily gold-wallowing painful (also, the haunted souls of Tiny Tim and the million other waifs who died to bring the gold to his vault might get in. He needs the gold's happiness vibration carefully tuned to block angry spirits.)
