Pete Seeger dies at 94

It was a good long life but awww. The video on this link is awesome. It really shows, in only a few minutes, what a great man he was.

Oh my gosh! He's such an icon. It's sad to lose him.

OH! We went to the Hudson River festival last year to hear him in concert - he was so frail physically and yet had so much energy; and just two days ago we were watching footage of him in a documentary about Greenwich Village in the 1960's.

He's one of my heros for his committment to music, to social justice, his optimism and huge, huge heart.

If anyone hasn't seen the documentary "Pete Seeger: The Power of Song" I highly recommend it:

(Of course it's not availabe on Netflix; I think we checked it out at our local library)

Thanks. I've put that DVD on hold at the library.

I can't think of a documentary - or a subject - I've enjoyed more.
