Apparently burning NH4Cr2O7 with HgSCN opens a portal to hell. Have we learned nothing from watching Buffy? Opens a portal to hell? Let's NOT DO THAT!

OT, but your icon reminds me of the face Tim Curry makes in The Rocky Horror Picture Show right after he sings to Brad and Janet, "You look like you're both pretty groovy."

His is more sarcastic and hers is more "uh-oh", but the sort of twisted mouth thing is similar. :)

Me too! I skipped the article, so I thought it was just going to be the burning, which was kind of cool itself, and then, whoa, tentacles!

Thanks! I spent an inordinately long time tweaking the text so it would be readable in icon size.
