baby tree swallows

I saw baby tree swallows. They nest in boxes provided for the bluebird trail and I was there when the nest was opened, I guess to keep track of the birds. The woman who opened it said that last week the nest had eggs so the ones I saw, which looked a lot like these but were more purple-blue in color, are less than a week old.

I can so relate to that. I love it when my computer works well enough to display vids. ;-)

The ones I saw continued to sleep when we made the wake up 'cause momma's here to feed you noise. They were still awesome though. ;-)

How adorable! I've rescued a fledgeling sparrow or two, but I've never seen them that young!

Aren't they? I thought their beaks were eyes at first; closed they look eye-like.
