book hoarder

So on Tumblr, I saw this: Look to your left. The first thing you see is what you would hoard as a dragon.

First thing I saw was a book. yes!

You woud make pretty cool dragon =)

The first thing I see on the left is my cat. Prospect of cat-hoarding dragon lady is a bit unsettling...

I was just talking about that with my aunt. She saw her cat's toy. Here's a pic (http://www.funcatpictures.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/funny-cat-pics-what-crazy-cat-lady-sees.jpg) for you.

I saw a window. I am a very odd dragon.

Ah, yes, you are an odd dragon! ;-)

Of course a window is interesting symbolically. It's a boundary between the inside and the outside and boundaries are always full of meaning. Windows, though, aren't often utilized for moving between so they'd take on the same theme as "the road less traveled."

Also there's this, which I found online: the 15th century architect, sculptor, painter, and theorist Leon Battista Alberti described painting as the construction of an image that resembles a window: "First of all, on the surface on which I am going to paint, I draw a rectangle of whatever size I want, which I regard as an open window through which the subject to be painted is seen;..."

Me too!

P.S. I'm also sitting in my library...so that might be cheating. :P

Same for me. Let's just watch the fire-breathing around the literature.

That's what my aunt suggested.

In a room full of interesting things, I got a drink coaster on that one. Sigh.

Awww, hi kitty. Book-hoarding is good, but I'd be okay being a cat-hoarding dragon lady too. ;-)
