this is Halloween, or how pathetic was my night?

That was disappointing. Some online friends - my roommie knows them - were having a party / ritual and I agreed to go. I knew they weren't close but didn't realize it was 50 minutes each way, but that was okay. Then it turned out to be in the middle of nowhere with signs that are hard to read and I never did find one road I was looking for. I turned around because I realized I'd been looking for the road on the wrong side - I was thinking right turn when it was left - but still didn't see it. There was another road I was thinking might work mainly because it was a majorish road about the right distance away, but by the time I'd gotten back to more major roads I didn't want to drive through those little 'uns again.

So I stopped at a used bookstore on the way home and picked up something to read.

That reminds me of this club listed in the L.A. Weekly that my best friend and I tried to find at least ten times... no, we never did find it. *sigh*

At least you ended up with a good book.

Yeah, that was a bummer. I'd been thinking earlier that I should get a phone number. Wish I'd gone with that thought.
