geeky holiday movies

Because I've got the geeky advent song list going, I started to wonder about geeky holiday movies. Oh, also I just picked up one at the library today. That would also be part of where the idea came from

First up is Hogfather. Lovely movie. I watch it every year. It's set in Terry Pratchett's disc world so, yeah, geeky right there. Plus, Ian Richardson as Death making a reference to House of Cards. Who doesn't love that?

And then there's Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. Less lovely, but it's been MST3Ked.

Any other suggestions for geeky holiday movie?

I've never seen the Hogfather, but I definitely want to after seeing that trailer. :)

I stumbled across it a few years back and now it's one of my holiday traditions. I'm not a big Pratchett fan. I like his worlds but something about his writing puts me off. So a movie is perfect for me.

I love the MST3K take on Santa Claus vs. The Martians. Plus, it was the debut film of bad actress extraordinaire, Pia Zadora!

I actually liked Santa Claus vs the Martians when I was a kid. ;-)

And I'd forgotten Pia Zadora was in it. Cool.

She's Gir-mar. And her acting style is amazingly true to the Pia we later came to know and loathe.
