playing with journal

I've been finding my journal difficult to read. Some of the colors didn't work well together, for example I could not read entry headers because the colors were too close, and the entry font was too small. I was literally copying text I wanted to read and pasting it into a word editor because I couldn't read it here, which was minimizing the amount of time I wanted to spend on LJ.

It's a bit glitchy - my acorns icon has an odd surrounding background - but I can at least read it comfortably now.

Readablilty was becoming a real issue. I definitely needed to change it.

I was pretty much guesstimating what I was doing. pickamix had done the original css code for me. I've been trying things, seeing that they didn't work, putting them back, and eventually getting something that was easier to read.
