What is this tiled hell?

Pretty sure this is hell. Pretty sure this is actual hell. They say hell is fire and brimstone and lashings and flayings, but I'm pretty sure it's actually this: being trapped in a tiled infinity, paying £900 per month no bills for the privilege, having to bend your neck all the time because the ceiling is actively lower because everything is covered in tiles.

Someone I knew had a neighbor who'd moved and they learned that the whole apartment had been painted black. Eeek!

wow...well, at least it wasn't yellow or pink (though the yellow's probably better, come to think of it).

Oooh, the pink was pretty awful.

"The horror, the horror"! Yes! I read Heart of Darkness a few years back and within three months watched Apocalypse Now without knowing the two were related. So we met Mr. Kurtz, captain of the boat, and I was thinking, "Hey, there was a Mr. Kurtz in Heart of Darkness." This kept up through the whole movie with me not 100% sure one had been based on the other. Then they got to "the horror. The horror." and I realized, yep, AN was based on HoD.
