RIP, Sherri Tepper

Scalzi talks about what we've lost, mentioning her novel Grass. While that one was fantastic ... the author of The Gate to Women's Country has died. ;-(

I'm not familiar with her work, but I am sorry to hear about the loss.

Her stories, the few I've read at least, have a feminist bent to them. I adored a few of her early works but didn't like later ones as much so I haven't read her in quite a while.

I'm sad and trying to console myself with the knowledge that 86 years is a good long run at life, and she was writing and publishing stuff as recently as 2007.

Yeah, 86 is a good run. I stopped reading her long ago but I adored some of her earlier works.
