Eeyore sharing the Good News

When I was growing up, Christianity was called "the good news". Apparently that's not a thing anymore, but now I'm picturing bunches of little Eeyore-like characters, knocking on doors and asking in a depressed tone, "Can I share this good news with you?"

The "good news" was always supposed to be that you didn't have to burn for all eternity. Of course, if nobody had told you that this was going to happen then the news wasn't very good - or believable! - at all.

And I believe there's a variant where someone who never heard of Jesus gets into Heaven because they didn't have the option to choose Christianity. So then hearing about it is like "why did you tell me that I either have to choose your god over mine or suffer in your Hell?"
