Master works. Mistress reminds me of a Carol Burnett sketch. Harvey Korman as the butler introducing the man and lady of the house getting stuck on "and this is my mistress."

There must be ton of meta out there on the misuse of gender specific "Mistress" and how it gained connotations away from Master
