Birthday Dinner

Mmm, there is nothing more perfect than naan dipped into Butter Chicken Sauce. Hazelnut Gelato is also divine.

But I ate too much. Oh, my poor tummy last night! ;-)

Afterlife

I just finished watching Afterlife. It's an excellent series, but one of the main characters dies at the end. I was bawling my eyes out in that last episode. He has a brain tumor so he knows it's coming and he's enjoying his senses more - touching glass, touching and smelling rose petals - toward the end and somehow that made it so much more poignant. I adored the series but didn't expect the ending to be that emotional.

playing with journal

I've been finding my journal difficult to read. Some of the colors didn't work well together, for example I could not read entry headers because the colors were too close, and the entry font was too small. I was literally copying text I wanted to read and pasting it into a word editor because I couldn't read it here, which was minimizing the amount of time I wanted to spend on LJ.

It's a bit glitchy - my acorns icon has an odd surrounding background - but I can at least read it comfortably now.

In a Corner of My Soul: The Pack: No More Pencils; No More Books

I'm working on chapters for this story as part of my Taming the Muse prompts. Recently I mistakenly forgot the lock one of these posts to the Taming Mods and got a few comments which suggests that some people would prefer to read my stories here to AO3. So I'll be posting stories here again. I'm not going to go back and post all that's gone before with this story, but you can read it on AO3 and/or there are notes to catch you up on what you need to know.
