Anyone have a suggestion for a middle name for Severus Snape?

You could go with Tobias, after his father. ;) It repeats the "s" sound, as a bonus.

The Harry Potter world has a lot of characters who use their father's first name as the son's middle name. Bill Weasley, Harry Potter, Teddy Lupin, etc.

For example, to maintain the canon that Voldemort's given name is an anagram of "I am Lord Voldemort", in the French translation, they had to give him the middle name "Elvis"? Lol!

Septimus I could see. Why did you suggest it? What makes you think of it specifically as a middle name for Snape?

One possible reason is that Septimus Severus was the name of a Roman Emperor (ruled 193-211 CE).

It does sound nice, but it's a no-go for the fic I'm working on. I'd already given red satin doll the go ahead for Severus Tobias Septemius Snape for the image she'll be making for me. I do rather like having Tobias in there because it's his father's name.
