Blood's a Rover
Mar. 28th, 2009 11:51 pmHarlan Ellison once claimed that the sequel to A Boy and His Dog would be titled Blood's a Rover. Tonight, as I was reading some poetry, I came across this line in "Reveille" by A. E. Housman: "Clay lies still, but blood's a rover". Poem basically says wake up and live your life because the eternal sleep is just around the corner. Cheery, I know.
But now I'm all happy and excited with wondering if Ellison got the title from this poem. Doesn't take much to make me happy sometimes.
