dragonyphoenix: Blackadder looking at scraps of paper, saying "It could use a beta" (Blackadder)
Note: Written for the prompt or rescue at Open on Sunday but not posted there because it's too long.

"Speed of lightning, roar of thunder.”

Saturday morning. 5:30. Dawn had cranked the volume. Buffy stared at her ceiling. Three. Two. One. Mom’s door slammed. The tv clicked off. “Go to your room.”

“What are you gonna do? Ground me even more?”

“Honey, you’re not grounded.”

“Feels like it.” And there went Dawn, stomping up the stairs.

Not even in Sunnydale could a blown-up high-school be blamed on PCP crazed druggies. There’d been talk of a bomber, like that guy in Oklahoma City. Mom had pretty much kept them in the house ever since.

On tv, once the hero saved the day, he got the girl – not that Buffy wanted a girl – but once the day was saved, everything was fixed. She’d saved the day. So why was everything broken?

Title: The Morning After
Rating: Mature; not work-safe; sexual content
Note: In the Responsible Adults verse, the story Three for the Road brings Joyce, Ethan, and Rupert together. This is an alternate look at how the next morning might have gone if Rupert was so hung over he didn't remember any of it.
Note: Written for a prompt at Drunken Giles: Three problems: Giles is trying to get home, he's very drunk, and someone appears to have stolen his clothes. But I changed Giles is drunk to Giles has a hangover, and then I woefully disregarded the hangover.

the story is wondering if Ethan's magic will make its hangover go away )

Disclaimer: They aren't mine, not yet, but the will be once I've taken over the world. Bwah-ha-ha.
Summary: She'll rise, but she won't shine.

Word Count: 177
Edited: Changed rating from "worksafe".

Dawn stared at the bowl as she poured in the cereal and milk, filling it to the brim.

“Would you like orange juice?”

Dawn started smooshing her cereal into the milk. A glass of juice appeared next to the bowl. Dawn’s spoon clattered loudly on the table as she took two steps across the room, pouring herself a cup of coffee. She was adding the fifth teaspoon of sugar when she heard, “When I was your age, your grandmother told me coffee would stunt my growth.”

“Kiren has been drinking coffee since she was seven.”

“Her mother gave her milk with a splash of coffee, that’s not the same thing, besides Kiren doesn’t use a dozen teaspoons of sugar. Buffy causes enough trouble at school; I don’t need to hear that you’ve been hyperactive.”

Dawn looked away as she dumped the coffee down the sink.

“Why make coffee each morning if you aren’t going to drink…”

“Willow.”

“But Tara, she’s wasting… oh.”

Dawn grabbed her book bag. “I’m not hungry.”

“Wouldn’t you like a ride to school?”

Title: “Trouble On The Way” 6/6
Characters: In this section: Xander, Buffy, Ripper, Joyce, and Oz.
Rating: PG-13
Concrit: Please, in comments
Disclaimer: They aren't mine, not yet, but the will be once I've taken over the world. Bwah-ha-ha.
Summary: There's a new female demon, a werewolf, in town. Guess who's attracted.
Note: This story is set around the time of “Band Candy”, but, in my version, Xander and Cordy have already broken up. Sorry. Basically I wrote the story and, in a later edit, decided I needed to associate it with a specific episode. “Band Candy” fit best in terms of time-line and demonic activity so I went with it despite the fact that Xander and Cordy were still an item then.
Note: Thanks to diebirchen, the most gracious Fairy Godmother of Verbal Usage, for the beta. All errors, of course, are entirely mine.
Note: I borrowed the terms kakodaimon and eudaimon from Lit Gal's Kin of the Heart, which I highly recommend. The specific chapter that defines the terms is here.
Note: I've been forgetting to add this.  Thanks to Lonecannan for kicking me in the butt and convincing me to finish this story.

All chapters of this story can be found here.
