Summary: “Xander,” he commanded. Xander looked up at him, fury blazing forth from his eyes but his mouth sounded honey-sweet as he said, “Master.” Angelus could already see the cracks, his mind becoming as fragile as the stem of a wine glass, as obedience once again won out over hatred.

Summary: She looked dejected. I could have said something. I could have reached out to her but instead I just walked back to Giles' car saying something about needing to get him home. Really my mind was on the demons, wanting to beat something up, needing to take out the rage that had consumed me for the past three months. I didn't even looking back one last time. I never saw Willow again.

Rating: R for sex and violence
Summary: I felt like a hare confronted with a fox. I wanted to beg Xander for the key but I couldn't make a sound, terrified by whatever he'd become. As he approached, I closed my eyes, not wanting to see him that way, and felt his breath, hot against my neck and then, without warning, it was gone. Daring to look, I saw him at the base on Angelus' bed, rocking back and forth and back and forth, and then he started muttering in a dreadful monotone, “I can't. I'll kill you. I'll kill you. I'll kill you.”

Summary: He startled but didn't answer so I deliberately inhaled, taking in the scent of Xander's room. It smelled of Willow. I turned my gaze towards a collage he'd made out of bits and pieces of cloth, taken from clothes Angelus had torn off of her. There was a skull dripping blood down onto a black haired man, presumably Angelus but I suppose another interpretation could have been Willow giving her life up to Xander. “How you gonna work in that golden corset he just tore off of her?”
“A certain blond vampire dying in the sunshine,” he growled, glaring at me and, oh, there was anger but also power behind that fierce face. “You mean like you have Dru? At his whim? Always second best? Willow won't be like that,” he added, finally answering the question that would lead him where I wanted him to go.

Summary: Looking back up, I scanned the area only to find that the other vampire had disappeared. Rounding on Mr. Kolchak, I shouted, “What the hell were you doing? The next time I tell you to run from vampires, you run from vampires. Got it?"
“But... how? Dust?” he stammered in response.
