My computer died over the weekend. The D drive wasn't responding and Windows wouldn't come up (registry file corrupted was the message I got), which should have been simple enough. Fix what's wrong with the drive and load the disk that fixes Windows.
Nope. Apparently it's the C drive (harddrive) that's dead. Getting any of my files back is going to be difficult if not impossible, which isn't too bad. I backed them up last April and most of what I write I post fairly quickly. The main thing I've lost is my most recent version of a story I've been working on. *sigh*
On the plus side, I'm about to listen to a lecture, by one of the guys in a writing group I've joined, on ghost hunting. He's very amusing so it should be loads of fun!
