What a relief!
Mar. 20th, 2013 05:57 pmWhew! Looks like third time's the charm. I went to a gynecologist today (third one; longish story) and she told me I don't need to have surgery to remove the fibroid because it'll shrink once I'm in menopause. She also isn't concerned about the thick uterine lining because a second ultrasound showed that it had reduced in size after my period.
So the cyst is now the issue. A good cyst is thin like a balloon and water-filled. Mine has a nodule, which can be bad, but does not have blood flow coming into it, which is great. She'd prefer I get an MRI - involves needles and I have a big phobia - but will let me get away with an ultrasound. I'll be chatting with my therapist on Friday and we'll work out how to handle this.
Happy, happy, happy day!
