dragonyphoenix: Blackadder looking at scraps of paper, saying "It could use a beta" (Francine angel)

I hold the egg in my hands and pour into it everything I'm reluctant to do, everything I don't quite feel like starting, everything I'm afraid to work on. Once the energy has built up, I crack the egg and drop both egg and shell down into a bowl.

When Eric Maisel discusses this ritual, in Creativity for Life, he thinks people will be reluctant to “waste” an egg this way: I don't see why. Perhaps using the egg in a ritual doesn't seem like wasting it to me even if the egg does go down the drain once it has been cracked. He links the reluctance to crack the egg to the effectiveness of the ritual. Even though I don't share that reluctance, I have been moving forward since I started the ritual. With one more egg out of a dozen to go, I have made a goal to write two pages a day each day over the next week, and I have created a Facebook group to exchange DASH recipes as a means of exploring social media. Let's see if I can keep the momentum up.
