dragonyphoenix: Blackadder looking at scraps of paper, saying "It could use a beta" (Katchoo)
I finished the DVD this evening and it's been ages since I've read the book so what mostly struck me is how many plot points there are not clearly explained in the movie. 1) After Harry and Luna are in the forest feeding those skeleton creatures, the next scene has him in the dining hall asking if he can sit with Ron and Hermione. What? They're his best buds. He doesn't have to ask nervously if he can sit with them! (Note: I've put a hold on the book so I'll be getting it from the library soon-ish.) 2) Mr. Weasley beat up at Christmas. They do put in some dialogue about Harry having seen the attack in a dream so there's a bit of explanation but not as much as it deserves. 3) Snape's lessons in mind-training. Those aren't referenced at all in the movie until the final lesson, when Harry reads Snape's mind and Snape kicks him out. I eventually recalled what was happening but at first I was wondering what the heck was going on.

And the other thing: I totally don't recall Umbridge being that creepy! Wow, that was much more disturbing than I remember.
