Nominations Open at Running With Scissors

I know because two of my stories have been nominated at RWSA. Yay! In the Middle of a Mistake in the Stakes and Chains category. Sad That You Can't Hear in Fanged Midget, Doomed, and Hairy Eyeball.

We Three Kings

The painting is by J.C. Leyendecker who was a prolific German-American illustrator in the early 20th century. He created hundreds of illustrations for the Saturday Evening Post and was influenced by the works of Alphonse Mucha, a prominent Czech artist who was influential in the Art Nouveau movement of the late 1800's.

Ouch!

My poor roommmate Leslie. On Monday she fell on the way to work. At the Urgent Care they x-rayed her ankle and said it wasn't broken but she still had to be on crutches for a while. On Tuesday we went to a foot specialist and she told them the side of her foot was hurting. They x-rayed it and found a broken bone. Today another foot specialist, after I think more x-rays, said there are mutliple broken bones and they don't know how well it can be repaired. She ballroom dances for fun and on the way back she was all Scarlett O'Hara at the end of the movie, "I will dance again!"
