dragonyphoenix: Katchoo from Strangers in Paradise (katchoo)
Muscle spasm of the gluteus minimus. That's what's wrong with me. Name doesn't cover it. Needs more words like "ouchie" and "super hurty" and "excruciating." I need to find a tennis ball to loosen muscle fibers and I have a preventative exercise on a lowish table. A variant of the pigeon is sitting with one foot on the floor and hooking the other leg over and leaning forward. I can't raise my injured leg high enough yet, even if it is better after painkillers I started taking yesterday.

While I was there I forgot to ask if there's an association between pain and loss of appetite. Just before visiting the doctor, I'd started eating very little. I just wasn't hungry, My appetite only came back today, about 22 hours after I started taking painkillers my doctor prescribed. So, I'm guessing that lack of appetite was due to pain.

Doc says I've got a muscle spasm of the gluetus minimus. Name doesn't come close to covering it. Needs words like "ouchie" and "super hurty" and "excruciating." But it should go away on it's own.

I did forget to ask the doctor if pain is associated with loss of appetite. Mine was gone for a few days and only came back about a full day after I started in on the pain meds.

The delightful Felicia Craft associated the muscle spasm in my gluteus minimus with this chat between Tara and Spke: quote 8, 59 seconds in.
