so glad I'm no longer there

We didn't have enough people at my last job to get the work done and sometimes they'd call in people who generally worked at home to come into the office for a few days. During my last week I was explaining to Betty Jo why I was leaving. Specifically I was explaining that I was concerned about the more contagious variants of COVID and that I didn't feel safe in an office environment where people didn't wear their masks. Betty Jo just turned away from me and walked off.

I later learned that she was being told to come in regularly, a few days each week, because I was leaving. I guess I wasn't the only person worried about catching COVID at that job.
