Thank you. It's coming along nicely if I do say so myself. Since I'm doing that novel-writing thing in November, I'm hoping to start posting around Yule.
I recently attended a Con where I heard the expectation that an author would treat a fanfic as a standalone story. It was a specific instance for a writing class and did not refer to fanfic in general. But I'm intrigued by the idea. I think I want to introduce Willow and Xander and the idea of how this world works in the first chapter (which will cover the first two episodes), but it's going to be tricky doing so without boring my readers who will pretty much all be BtVS fans. I'll see how that goes when I'm writing it.
