Here from Gabrielle's rec list! I haven't seen very many (any actually) fics with Buffy bonding to other Slayers; but then I don't read a lot of comics-inspired fics. (the whole "Buffy beating down other Slayers" in S8.40 really put me off.) So this is really really nice, a much-needed corrective; and a corrective to the "Buffy doesn't care about other girls" crap-ola.
I never did understand the "decoys" thing BTW. If there's thousands of Slayers now, why the sudden need to protect Buffy? It's not as though the demon world didn't know about "the Slayer" when she was the one and only. And when did Buffy ever ask anyone to put themselves in danger that she wouldn't put herself in? The only sense I could make of that was someone decided that the fandom reaction to Buffy in TGiQ was so strong (OMG Buffy is such a bitch and a ho-bag!) that they were trying to back down from that?
