baby tree swallows

dragonyphoenixI saw baby tree swallows. They nest in boxes provided for the bluebird trail and I was there when the nest was opened, I guess to keep track of the birds. The woman who opened it said that last week the nest had eggs so the ones I saw, which looked a lot like these but were more purple-blue in color, are less than a week old.
