Buffy: No. When you kiss me I wanna die. Oh no you didn't. Is that supposed to be romantic? Because, ugh. Actually, moments like that where the ones that made me feel ok about S1-2 bangel. Buffy is so obviously basing her speech/actions on cheesy romantic cliches from movies and books. Many real life 15 year old girls do that. Strangely, it makes me feel batter about Buffy - she acts that way not because she is stupid or shallow, but just because it's the "proper way" to behave when you are in love.
