Don't you like the episode with Buffy and Cordy? My definition of conflict is that two people disagree and then World War Three happens. I dislike the episode because of the open conflict.
I think the Buffy and Angel mismatch has to be deliberate, but yeah, they really don't fit.
Willow is helping Cordy because she feels guilty. Oh, yeah, because this is after the clothes fluke. Okay. Thanks. That makes sense.
